Miazga leaves on loan

Matt Miazga has today joined Vitesse Arnhem on a one-year long loan deal, as the United States international is not included in Antonio Conte’s plans for the upcoming season.

The 21-year-old took part in the pre-season tour squads in Austria and US this summer, but failed to impress Conte as he suggested Miazga to continue his development elsewhere.

Despite the interest of several Premier League clubs, it’s believed that Miazga would be getting more playing time at Vitesse.

The center-back only made two starts for Chelsea last season after joining the club from MLS side New York Red Bulls in January transfer window, as he kept a clean-sheet on his Premier League debut against Aston Villa in a 4-0 win at Villa Park.
