Chelsea monitoring Angel Di Maria

According to Spanish sports magazine Don Balon, Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is keen on adding more inspiration to the Blues’s midfield and attack, as he targets PSG winger Angel Di Maria.

It was reported that the Argentina international has been unhappy in the Ligue 1 side since the arrival of Unai Emery, who replaced French manager Laurent Blanc after his failure to ever win the Champions League at the club.

Therefore the 28-year-old, who Conte is a big fan of, is keen on returning to England, after his first spell in the Premier League was one to forget.

Di Maria scored three goals and produced ten assists to his name after being signed by then Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal for £59.7m.

After getting away from Old Trafford, the former Real Madrid star’s form has started to rejuvenate, as he starred with ten goals and 18 assists to help PSG clinch the Ligue 1 title last season.

Chelsea are in certain need of some world-class assistance, as Conte’s side have had a bad run of games in the league, claiming just one point from the last three games conceding seven goals in the process.

The Blues will face Hull City next Saturday and holding Premier League champions Leicester the week after at Stamford Bridge.
