Chelsea join race for Aubameyang

Chelsea have reportedly reignited their interest on Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Telegraph reports.

The 27-year-old has attracted a lot of attention recently, and many other Premier League sides are also keen on his services.

Manchester City and Chelsea have been tipped as the main teams looking to land the Gabon international, but should Aubameyang leave the Bundesliga side, the teams will have to wait until the summer to sign him.

It is understood that the Blues manager Antonio Conte wants to add more world-class players to his attacking ranks this season, and has therefore set his eyes on the Dortmund star.

Aubameyang has been in fine form this season as has scored seven goals so far, with one of them coming against Real Madrid in the Champions League.

Chelsea are also tightly monitoring Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann and Real Madrid goal-poacher Alvaro Morata, who Conte already tried luring to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Griezmann’s buy-out clause is understood to be somewhere near £88m, but according to reports the West London side are prepared to pay such price for the France international.
