According to Football Italia, Antonio Conte and Chelsea are keen on landing Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj this January.
The Croatia international has already hinted at wanting to move away from the club, as he was strongly linked with a move to AC Milan last summer to replace the injured Riccardo Montolivo, while London rivals Tottenham have also showed minor interest in the past.
Conte is reportedly ready to sacrifice the futures of Cesc Fabregas and John Obi Mikel in exchange for the 27-year-old’s services.
So far Fiorentina have declared to have no interest in selling their key man, but could be forced to cash out on him should Chelsea make an enough strong offer.
Chelsea already raided the Serie A club last summer after pulling out a deadline day move for Spanish full-back Marcos Alonso in a £23m deal.
Badelj has scored one goal this season, making five league appearances for the club so far.
