A few transfer rumours, which widely make no sense to many, have occurred recently linking Chelsea stars Michy Batshuayi and Cesc Fabregas to moves away from Stamford Bridge this January.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere Dello Sport (via talkSPORT), Serie A side Inter Milan are planning to acquire the new Blues striker Batshuayi this January.
Their main man Mauro Icardi’s relationship with the club’s fans has sunken to a very unhealthy level after the Argentine forward criticized the Inter ultras in his autobiography, which even got him punished by the head of the club.
The 23-year-old has been at Stadium Giuseppe Maezza since 2013 and currently serves as the captain of the team, but has long been linked with a move to clubs like Arsenal, Napoli and even Chelsea.
None of the speculation ever led to a proper transfer, but due to Icardi’s bad influence to the fan base, the club could finally go and cash in on him.
Batshuayi, after arriving to Chelsea from Marseille on a £32m deal this summer, has been a back-up to Spain international Diego Costa all-season long so far.
Now the Belgian is seen as a perfect fit for Frank De Boer’s side should they send Icardi to find himself a new club.
Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is also being linked with a move to the Italian top-flight, as many reports have suggested him to be joining AC Milan in January.
The Spain international hasn’t received the greatest of opportunities under new manager Antonio Conte, just like Batshuayi, but it’s unlikely that either one of the players would be on the move.
Fabregas’s wife recently laughed off the speculation surrounding his husband, which pretty much confirms the unreliability of most of the gossip there is.

AC Milan boss Vincento Montella has also told that Fabregas isn’t the type of player the club are currently looking for.
We’re looking for a player who has the characteristics that Montolivo has, who can also operate in a defensive-midfield two.
Fabregas? He doesn’t have those characteristics.
It’s more presumable that both Batshuayi and Fabregas are ready to fight for their place in the starting line-up despite the lesser playing time, and won’t go on to find a new club to play for.
