Moses: ‘It will be tight but we’re ready to fight’

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses was chosen as the man of the match in the Blues’s secure 1-0 victory past Premier League new boys Middlesbrough today.

The Nigeria international has become an influential player in head coach Antonio Conte’s system, and showed a piece of his abilities today as well.

After the match Moses was interviewed by BBC Sport, and showed his delight for being able to help the team win their sixth successive league game.

We showed good character from the start, we had a few chances in the first half which we should have taken.In the second half, they came at us and we were strong at the back. We did very well today.

I am delighted and excited to be in the first 11, the new manager wants to give the youngsters an opportunity to express themselves.

The top is very tight. The Premier League is a hard season and we want to take each game as it comes.

Moses has been named in the starting line-up in each of Chelsea’s last six league games, which have all been victories, also scoring one goal and providing an assist in those fixtures.
