Harry Redknapp believes that Antonio Conte still needs to invest in his Chelsea squad if we are to win the Premier League title. report the Metro.
Metro cite BT Sport in quoting Redknapp. He believes that despite the Blues’ recent form, there are still areas of weakness in our side: “I’m not convinced the three at the back can all play enough.”
Our back three have conceded just one goal in their last seven Premier League games. With John Terry and Kurt Zouma in reserve, it is doubtful that Conte will be worrying too much about our defence.
Redknapp also went on to criticise our midfield: “There’s not a great amount of flare in the middle of the park either.”
He is correct, there is not a great deal of flare in our midfield. Other than, perhaps, Nemanja Matic, whose tally of six assists so far this campaign can only be bettered by three players in all of Europe’s top five leagues. Cesc Fabregas is not bad either.
It appears as though Redknapp was desperate to criticise us after seeing his beloved Tottenham lose, again, at Stamford Bridge.
