Antonio Conte battling for promising AC Milan youngster

Chelsea are reportedly interested in AC Milan youngster Moris Sportelli, with Premier League side Stoke City also keen on his signature, Daily Express reports.

The Blues are currently leading the table with flying colours after their recent 1-3 victory past Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Despite the team’s impressive form, Antonio Conte is still keen on reinforcements, and sees the 16-year-old Milan prodigy as a promising capture. According to the same source Chelsea scouts have been impressed by the Italian defender’s performances, but Stoke are ready to battle with the West London club.

Sportelli is yet to play for the Serie A side’s first team, but his performances for the team’s U17 side have seen the center-back being compared to the Italian club legend Alessandro Nesta. Milan are still yet to find a solid replacement for the player who retired in 2013.

Chelsea are currently without Kurt Zouma and John Terry, who are both recovering from injuries.
