Chelsea cruised into a terrific 3-1 comeback victory against Manchester City at Etihad Stadium last Saturday afternoon, and if there was one thing we learned from Pep Guardiola’s side, it was the fact how much they hate losing.
After goals from Diego Costa, Willian and Eden Hazard completed a great second-half turnaround for Antonio Conte’s side, the game got out of hands at the dying minutes of the game. City striker Sergio Aguero lunged a horrible tackle on David Luiz with his studs against the Brazilian’s knees, before Fernandinho got sent off for assaulting Cesc Fabregas by pushing him down to the sidelines.
According to Chelsea’s vice-captain Gary Cahill, the battle between Aguero and Luiz has gone on for several games, but claims that the Argentine’s horror challenge was not his type of a thing.
Maybe it was a bit of frustration. It was unlike him, it was out of character for him.
It looked a bad tackle, out of character, it is disappointing to see that.

The two South Americans have got into trouble previously as well, when the Manchester City striker stamped on David Luiz during the Brazilian’s first spell at Chelsea in the FA Cup Semi-Final in 2013 (pictured above).
That time Aguero survived a red card and any following actions, but now he has been ruled out for four games by the FA.
