Chelsea winger linked with surprising high profile loan move

Sky Sports are reporting that Roma are interested in a loan deal for Chelsea midfielder Charly Musonda.

The Italian club will be without another former Chelsea man – Mo Salah – in the spring when he goes to play at the Africa Cup of Nations.

This leaves them short of speed out wide, and Musonda looks like a great option for the side from the Italian capital to temporarily fill the gap.

It would also be nice for Chelsea to see how he performs at a top side. So far he has only played sporadically, and never at a top side. He has shown promise, but this would be a huge step up for the Frenchman.

Musonda is back at Stamford Bridge recovering from an injury. He is not playing much Betis, so none of the parties here really have anything to lose by seeing if he can make an impact at a side which is far better set up for his talents anyway.
