Chelsea have indeed made a staggering £86m offer for Atletico Madrid star winger Yannick Carrasco, whose stunning buy-out clause has also been met by Premier League rivals Manchester United.
That’s of course according to Spanish media outlet Don Balon, who claim that the rumours have now been backed by the player’s agent Christophe Henrotay, who then again has confirmed that the Blues and the Red Devils are the ones who’ve tabled an offer, while Juventus, Manchester City and Bayern Munich are on the spectator’s seat monitoring the player’s situation.
Carrasco, only 23-years-old of age, signed a new contract extension with the La Liga side last October to raise his buy-out clause, as Atleti have seemingly prepared to lose their key man in the coming transfer windows.
And he’s not the only player who could be leaving the club at the end of the season, as forwards Antoine Griezmann and Kevin Gameiro are also on the verge of departing the Vicente Calderón this summer.
Even the status of their long-term manager Diego Simeone is unstable, with a lot set to change in Atletico’s current team set-up both on and off the pitch.
