Chelsea have lost Ramires and Oscar over the last year, meaning that despite the return of David Luiz the Brazilian levels at the club have been dwindling.
So it’s no surprise to see the club being linked with a move for Pedro Victor, known as “Pedrinho”, who plays for Corinthians, by Yahoo Brazil.
Lazio have also registered an interest in the 18 year old, who has consistently impressed in Brazilian youth football and is now starting to graduate into senior games. With the season in Brazil about to kick off, waiting until the summer could see a sharp price increase if Victor does well for his club.
It will probably not be plain sailing for the Blues however, as predicted by this tweet from Brazilian football expert Paolo Freitas, who suspects that prising the talent away from Corinthians will be very tricky.
