Chelsea are set to rival Arsenal for the signature of Wolves winger Helder Costa, according to The Sun.
The Sun report that Wolves forked out £13million for Costa in the January transfer window, and he has thus far proven himself to be good value at that fee. The Benfica academy product has found the back of the net ten times in all competitions so far this term, making him the Championship strugglers’ top goal scorer.
His good performances in England’s second tier do not appear to have gone unnoticed. According to The Sun, Chelsea are interested in signing Costa, who is thought to be available for a £20million fee. However, the tabloid note that the Blues will face competition from Premier League counterparts Arsenal in the race to sign the 23-year-old.
The Sun report that Antonio Conte was impressed by Costa after his performance against Chelsea in the FA Cup last month. It remains to be seen whether he will make a concrete move to secure his services.
