Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly remains top of Antonio Conte’s summer wishlist, according to Calciomercato.
Chelsea’s defence has been the best in the league so far this campaign having conceded just 20 goals in the Premier League. Thibaut Courtois also leads the way in the race to win the Golden Glove. However, Conte doesn’t appear to be completely content with his back-line.
Calciomercato believe that Chelsea’s interest in Napoli centre-back Koulibaly remains extremely high, with Conte keen to secure the Senegalese international’s signature in the summer transfer window.
Koulibaly has established himself as one of the best defenders in Italy during his time at Napoli. He would likely fit like a glove into Conte’s back-three, alongside Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz or Andreas Christensen when he returns from loan in the summer.
Despite comfortably being the best team in the league this term, the Chelsea board appear to have learnt from the failures of last season and will not rest on their laurels in the summer.
