Alexis Sanchez has chosen Chelsea as his ideal destination should he get the summer move he wants.
Recent weeks have seen waves of rumours over Sanchez’ potential move away from Arsenal, with the winger’s words on international duty seeming to hint at a move to a London team, and reports that PSG were also hovering with intent in the vicinity of the Emirates Stadium.
The Telegraph then last night revealed that they had information confirming that the former Barcelona man wants a move to Stamford Bridge. His interest in working with Antonio Conte is cited as a factor in the Chilean’s decision, in their own words:
‘Sanchez has gone on record as saying he wants to play for a club with a winning mentality and he sees Antonio Conte as the perfect coach to work under.’
Of course even if this is the case, there’s no doubt that Arsenal would likely prefer to sell to a team outside their own division. But with Alexis’ contract entering its last year, their hands may be tied.
