N'Golo Kante celebrates after scoring against Manchester United

Two Chelsea stars nominated for PFA’s Player of the Year award

The PFA have released their shortlist for the Premier League’s Player of the Year award with two Chelsea players – Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante – in the pile of six big names.

Hazard has had a terrific season for the Blues after a very poor last campaign, as he now has 14 league goals to his name and five assists on top of that.

Meanwhile, Kante has proved his worth with stellar displays in the middle of the Chelsea midfield, having also got a goal and an assist to his name.

Amongst the Blues key players, who have both been instrumental in Chelsea’s title chase this season, there are four other players closing in on the award.

Everton’s Golden Boot favourite Romelu Lukaku with his 23 goals, Manchester United’s number nine Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Tottenham’s talisman striker Harry Kane and Arsenal’s star forward Alexis Sanchez round off the rest of the shortlist.

Chelsea however have no players shortlisted for the PFA Young Player of the Year award.
