Cesc Fabregas tells Eden Hazard how he’ll become world’s best

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has sent a message to his team-mate Eden Hazard explaining how he can become the world’s greatest player topping the likes of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Belgium international has bounced back with some style from his poor last season and is once again a key player in the Blues’ title race and charge for the FA Cup trophy.

He has scored 14 league goals and assisted five more this term, and scored the winning goal in Chelsea’s 4-2 triumph over Spurs in the semi-finals of the FA Cup last weekend.

He got placed second for the PFA Player of the Year award with Blues midfield dynamo N’Golo Kante claiming the accolade to himself. Fairly both of them would have deserved the award.

Fabreas believes that Hazard would have all the abilities to make himself the greatest player in the world, but he simply has to be more ‘ruthless’ in front of the goal.

“Ability wise, there is only one player above Eden, and we all know who that is: Messi. Eden is up there with the best.

But I’ve told him many times, he needs to be selfish and have that killer instinct – then he will be whatever he wants to be.

Eden is pushing to that level, and we have to help him. Sometimes when it’s two against two and he passes, I tell him ‘Score yourself. Do it’. He has to do it more often, be more selfish, as all the top players are. Then he will be unstoppable.”
