SSC Napoli have reportedly opened contract talks with their left-back Fauzi Ghoulam, but are ready to sell the player onward with a price around €15m (£12.7m) should he reject the new offer, Calcio Mercato reports.
The Argentina international’s current deal at the Serie A outfit is set to expire at the summer of 2018, but with plenty of clubs circling around him, Napoli will try to tie him up with an extended deal.
In addition to Chelsea, AC Milan, Bayern Munchen and Atletico Madrid are all showing interest to land the 26-year-old and could all be approaching him with a bid at the end of the season.
According to the source, Napoli have offered Ghoulam a deal worth €1.6m-a-year, but the player’s representatives aren’t going to rush with the deal amid the interest from other big clubs in Europe.
Ghoulam is yet to score a goal this season, but his seven assists in 30 appearances are a great example of his good creativity on the left wing.
Could he be a solid back-up for Marcos Alonso next season, as squad depth will surely be developed during the upcoming transfer window.
