Chelsea hopes of signing Lorenzo Insigne this summer have been crushed by the player’s agent, who today spoke about the rumours that originated in the Sun.
The Blues have made a slow start to the transfer window, selling a few squad players but failing to get nay incoming deals over the line.
Meanwhile dangerman Eden Hazard has fractured his ankle on international duty with Belgium, leaving Antonio Conte’s side a little short in attack, especially with Diego Costa’s future in London looking very limited indeed.
Insigne was supposedly a £45m target, but today his agent crushed any hope of signing the Italian on “Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli”. The moneyman said that Insigne was happy in a Napoli shirt and that getting a new contract had been his focus.
He also cheekily pointed out that the figures quoted in the Sun would have been too low to secure his client’s services anyway.
