Chelsea’s attempts to sign Juventus wing back Alex Sandro has been widely reported in recent weeks
The Italian press has been carrying the Sandro rumours for some time, but only now are they really ramping up their enthusiasm in the deal.
Football paper the Gazzetta dello Sport is now enthusiastic that the Blues will get their man, claiming they have launched a bid with an “avalanche of sterling” to secure the Brazilian.
It would be a significant upgrade to Antonio Conte’s team and Chelsea fans appear to be delighted about the prospect of securing the former Porto man.
Juventus president Beppe Marotta has already conceded that his club received a significant offer for Sandro, and although he didn’t name the club, it’s widely known that the offer, north of £60m, was made the Blues.
There seems to be an acceptance that if we stump up enough we’ll get him, and at the moment it looks like our chequebook is open.
