Chelsea face Atletico Madrid at the brand new Wanda Metropolitano stadium in just under an hour, and the team news are in!
It was once again a big question whether Eden Hazard would be starting for Chelsea, but following Antonio Conte’s promising comments in the pre-game presser, the Belgian magician has deservedly made it to the first XI.
The line-up looks a bit different also because of the change in the formation. Conte has decided to bolster his midfield by switching from the all-time favourite 3-4-3 system to a slightly more defensive 3-5-2. Cesc Fabregas thus starts in front of Tiemoue Bakayoko and N’Golo Kante in midfield.
Another big observation of the line-up is the return of David Luiz, who injured his wrist against Arsenal, and was a minor doubt for tonight’s game.
