Predicted XI: How Chelsea will line up against Everton in tomorrow’s League Cup tie

Chelsea will be hosting Everton on the fourth round of the Carabao Cup tomorrow night. With yet another Premier League game to come on Saturday, Antonio Conte is expected to line up a very heavily rotated side against the currently managerless Toffees.

Here’s our predicted line-up for the game…

Goalkeeper:

Willy Caballero – Should start tomorrow as he’s a quality keeper and fit to replace Thibaut Courtois, handing the Belgian a deserved rest ahead of the weekend.

Defence:

Antonio Rudiger – Played well against Watford despite conceding two goals. Cesar Azpilicueta has played every minute in the league so far, so he needs a rest as well.

Andreas Christensen – Has the quality to serve as a back-up for David Luiz, and will get a big chance to shine tomorrow.

Gary Cahill – Captain Cahill could be the one defender that stays in the starting line-up from the Watford clash, with Luiz and Azpilicueta in much bigger need of rest.

Midfield:

Davide Zappacosta – With Victor Moses out, the Italian deadline day signing should step in for the right wing-back’s role without a question. Was very promising when coming onto the pitch against Watford.

Tiemoue Bakayoko – Didn’t have his greatest game against Watford on Saturday, but will look to step up from that and should be a starter tomorrow.

Cesc Fabgreas – Chelsea really don’t have an option here or on Bakayoko’s position, as N’Golo Kante and Danny Drinkwater are both currently sidelined. Youngster Ethan Ampadu could be making an outing, but he’s much more likely to come on from the bench.

Kenedy – Conte hinted in his pre-game interview to be giving Kenedy a chance to shine tomorrow night. The Brazilian also started against Nottingham Forest in the third round of the cup.

Attack:

Charly Musonda – Another youngster that Conte looks to give a start tomorrow. Scored his first Chelsea goal against Nottingham Forest and played alright after coming on against Crystal Palace a few weeks backwards. Exciting to see him in action once again!

Michy Batshuayi – After a lovely brace against Watford, the Batsman will surely start against Everton. Alvaro Morata will be saved for the weekend, as he needs rest especially because of his recent hamstring injury.

Willian – Eden Hazard and Pedro look to have cemented their spot in Conte’s first-choice line-up now, leaving Willian to be the one rotated in against Everton.

That concludes our predicted Chelsea line-up to face Everon tomorrow. How would you like to see us set up tomorrow?
