Chelsea star Alvaro Morata is attracting hot interest from Italy and as the latest report from the country goes, it’s not just Juventus that are after him next summer.
AC Milan have reportedly been sniffing around and are ready to enter the race to sign the former Juventus striker, with Milan sporting director Massimilaino Mirabelli saying recently that he intends to sign a striker who will “bring San Siro down,” without necessarily mentioning Morata’s name, according to Premium Sport via Football Italia.
The report by Football Italia, failed to mention any particular striker, but it is believed Milan are ready to bring in Morata who excelled in his time at Juventus.
CalcioMercato also reports that Milan are ready to sign Morata who has failed to live up to the billing at Stamford Bridge since his arrival in 2016. Morata has scored only five goals since netting a hat trick against Stoke City last year, when many thought that would spell the beginning of a prolonged goal fest. He rather went on a dry spell of three months.
Chelsea may want to cut their losses and sell Morata, and in turn go for a proven striker to lead their course next season.
