Just under a year ago Chelsea started making their first moves of the summer transfer market.
One of those was the pickup of Ethan Ampadu – who knew then that the young Welshman would end up playing for the FIRST TEAM of Chelsea just a few months later.
But a signing that seemed more exciting at the time was that of Daishawn Redan from Ajax.
The youngster had to take a gamble leaving the legendary Dutch youth setup to come to Stamford Bridge, but it already seems worth it.
He’s played a key role in Chelsea’s success in the FA Youth Cup this season, netting in both legs of the final.
And he’s not going to stop now. If Ethan can persuade Conte he’s worth starts in the cup this season, what’s to stop Daishawn showing the next manager he can’t do the same next year?
Absolutely nothing, that’s what! If Jody Morris rates him, so do we…
