Chelsea are expected to be in for the top players this summer and that is not changing whether or not they complete the capture of the next goalkeeper.
The Blues are reportedly chasing a goalkeeper in the coming transfer window as they have decided not to rely on Thibaut Courtois, who has yet to commit to a new deal.
The Belgium international is not ready to tie his future to the five-time Premier League winners and insists he will make a decision on his future after the World Cup in Russia according to the Tribuna.
That has prompted Chelsea’s top hierarchy to move in for other options. Barcelona’s back-up goalkeeper, Jasper Cillessen has surprisingly popped up on their radar via Sport in Spain and despite the Netherlands international failing to nail a regular spot at the Camp Nou in his rivalry with Germany international Marc Andre-Ter Stergen, some top clubs in England including Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are after him.
If Chelsea loses Courtois this summer, the club’s fans would expect a formindable replacement and Cillessen may not be the man.
