Luis Enrique makes huge sacrifice to become Chelsea manager next summer

Former Barcelona boss Luis Enrique has offered to make a huge sacrifice to become Chelsea manager this summer after he resurfaced in the Blues managerial search according to Yahoo Sport.

The five-time Premier League champions were thought to be in discussion with him some months back after it was revealed that Conte will not last the summer at Stamford Bridge but the deal collapsed after he was reportedly seen as arrogant by the top Chelsea officials via Marca.

However, following protracted and complicated talks with Napoli’s Maurizio Sarri, Chelsea have decided to return to Enrique to further talks initiated a couple of months back.

One major condition Enqique had in his negotiations with the Premier League club was for him to play a major part in the identification and recruiting of players, which was argued out by the top brass, who have shown a knack of electing players behind the manager. But the return to the negotiation table has seen Enrique, a Champions League winner, now compromise and ready for Chelsea to handle their own transfers, if it means landing the job in London.

The transfer policy at Chelsea has been Conte’s biggest headache and his complains of this has led to his imminent sack this summer.
