Atletico Madrid had opened negotiations for AS Monaco winger Thomas Lemar and probably would have gone unnoticed in their discussions for the French forward, but Chelsea and Barcelona have entered the race and it opens up a stunning race for his signature this summer.
According to Sport in Spain, all the three clubs are interested in signing the French international this summer and are ready to stamp out the £79 million Monaco are asking for. Gianluca Di Marzio’s report for Get French Football revealed that Diego Simeone’s side have began negotiations for the French star with only the transfer price preventing a deal from being struck.

The explosive winger has attracted some top clubs in Europe including Liverpool and Arsenal last summer, with the latter going close to signing him on transfer deadline day, until it fell through in the final hour according to Sky Sports.
Chelsea would attempt to bring him into London this summer but have to fend of the likes of Barcelona and Atletico if they will succeed in bringing him to the Premier League.
