Barcelona bait Chelsea and Liverpool with new decision on in-demand star

Chelsea and Liverpool have been told how much they will have to pay to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen after reports indicate the La Liga club have received a concrete offer for him.

According to Sport in Spain, Barcelona are reducing their asking price for the goalkeeper and are ready to let suitors sign the player for just €30m, despite having a release clause of €60m in his current deal. The future of the Dutch goalkeeper is up in the air after English Premier League clubs Chelsea and Liverpool keep tracking him this summer.

Liverpool want to replace Lukas Karius after his Champions League final howler while Chelsea are readying themselves for the news that their current number one, Thibaut Courtois may be angling for a move to Real Madrid.

The decision by Barcelona is to attract more suitors for their back up goalkeeper and after several top clubs released their goalkeepers this summer, including Pepe Reina from Napoli to AC Milan while Liverpool and Chelsea are set to lose their goalkeepers in the transfer window.
