Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer their star winger Willian a new offer to remain at the club beyond this summer after reports have linked him with a move away from the club.
Initially, Manchester United were the only club strongly linked with his signing this summer, as Jose Mourinho continues to hold him in high esteem and wants a reunion with his industrious forward. Following their successful patch in Mourinho’s second stint at the club, where Chelsea won the Premier League and League Cup, the Portuguese wants him to beef up his options on the wings at Old Trafford.
Now Sport, reports that Barcelona have strongly made a claim for Willian’s services and with Champions League football on offer, the player’s head is being turned.
Barcelona have had two offers turned down by Chelsea in the last month as per Sky Sports, and are keen to make the Brazil international their player in the coming weeks. Chelsea though, will not entertain any negotiations to sell their star winger.
