Chelsea are having to deal with so many losses in the transfer market this summer and the latest of them is Aleksander Golovin who is currently having a medical at AS Monaco according to reports.
The Russia international midfielder was heavily linked with the Blues since the beginning of the World Cup but has taken a different route after he decided to move from CSKA Moscow.
As per Goal’s Nizaar Kinsella, Golovin is on his way to Monaco and confirmed the player is having a medical at the French Ligue 1 club on Wednesday.
It is true that Golovin is set for a medical at Monaco, as reported elsewhere. He was very much a target for Chelsea. #CFC #ASM

Golovin was one of Russia’s top stars at the 2018 World Cup, along with Denis Cherychev who scored three times for the hosts in the tournament as they progressed to the quarter final against the odds.
Kinsella also explains Chelsea lost out on the deal after signing Jorginho, who made the midfield numbers astronomical with N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Cesc Fabregas, Danny Drinkwater, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus Cheek all set to battle for the three spots in Maurizio Sarri’s three-man midfield.
CSKA denied the agreement with the deal on pause after Jorginho. Chelsea's approach was so strong that it scared off Juve. Sarri wanted another MF/Golovin, but Chelsea already have many MFs. #CFC
