Chelsea owner and top officials plot meeting in France to seal top deals in two weeks

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich and his direct assistant at the club Marina Granovskaia have scheduled a meeting in Nice to discuss the way forward in completing deals before the end of the transfer window in two weeks.

The Blues have flown under the radar in this transfer window with several of their rivals making deals to boost their squads. But for Chelsea, only Jorginho has arrived at the club following the arrival of Maurizio Sarri as head coach while Robert Green also enters the high profiled squad as third choice goalkeeper.

Having missed out on Aleksander Golovin to Monaco and other targets proving difficult to seal, the Evening Standard reports Chelsea’s top executives are meeting in Nice, France to discuss the plot to bring in new players before the end of the transfer window.

Daniele Rugani, Gonzalo Higuain, Miralem Pjianic and Leon Bailey are among the players to be discussed in the meeting that could change Chelsea’s summer for the better.
