Chelsea are in ‘initial negotiations’ with AC Milan at the moment and have quoted an amount of £62 million as asking price for Alvaro Morata.
According to Sky Sports, the Blues are willing to sell the striker who has failed to impress for the majority of his time at the club since his arrival from Real Madrid last summer under Antonio Conte. His first few games produced his best spell as a Chelsea player, but the goals dried up and his confidence took a big hit, as he scored only one goal between January and the end of the season in the Premier League.
The Blues are in talks with Juventus for the transfer of Gonzalo Higuain as per Football Italia and want the Argentina striker to replace Morata.
The Sky Sports report claims Chelsea began negotiating Morata’s exit on Wednesday and told Milan top chiefs the player will leave for nothing than £62m which may have turned Milan’s eyes to Higuain and now Calciomercato report the striker is inching closer to Milan than Chelsea.
