Chelsea are reportedly gaining some positive grounds in their attempts to avoid selling their star players this summer, especially as new head coach Maurizio Sarri is adamant he wants to use them for his new project at Stamford Bridge.
The biggest of those stars, possibly looking for a way out of the club is Eden Hazard and news coming from Spain indicate that Real Madrid, the only club kinked with the Belgium star is set to turn attention from him in the coming days, as they would look to sign Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani instead of Hazard according to AS in Spain.
As bad as that may sound for Hazard and his entourage, the Belgian would be welcomed back at the club with open arms when his post World Cup holidays are over in a few days.
The Los Blancos are cooling their interest in him, as they foresee a tight summer transfer negotiations that could prolong until after the transfer window’s end date.
Real want a successor to Cristiano Ronaldo after the Portuguese legend left for Juventus for £88m this summer but with the Blues holding out for £178m for Hazard according to the Daily Star, to make him the second most expensive player of all time, Real are unwilling to march on in the negotiations.
