Chelsea are ready to pounce for another Arsenal star this year with reports suggesting the Blues will move in to sign Aaron Ramsey to boost their midfield.
Already blessed with midfield talent including N’Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Tiemoue Bakyoko, Ross Barkley, Danny Drinkwater, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and new signing from Napoli Jorginho, Chelsea’s new boss Maurizio Sarri believes his midfield still needs a touch of quality and according to the Daily Mail, his ideal signing would be Ramsey.
The Welsh international is expecting his contract situation at the Emirates to be resolved this summer, whether he moves will depend on whether he’s offered a new deal he finds acceptable, but Chelsea are said to be lingering to pounce if the opportunity arises.
The Gunners are reportedly beginning contract renewal talks with Ramsey’s representatives but should there be any obstacles in the way, the Mail report says Chelsea will move in and make a £30 million bid for the midfielder, a fee said to almost certainly convince Arsenal to sell this summer, as the player can move for free in the next transfer window.
