As far as speculation goes, this report is more on the unlikely end, but it’s July, so we’ll entertain the idea.
According to the Daily Mail, Real Madrid have made a £100 million bid for Chelsea’s Willian and Thibaut Courtois to move to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. The pair have had their fair share of links with La Liga clubs this summer, with Courtois said to be angling for a move to Real Madrid as per the Sun.
Sky Sports also says La Liga champions Barcelona tabled three bids for Willian, which were all rejected, before they moved in for a cheaper deal to snatch Malcom right from the hands of AS Roma.
Pete Jenson with the report in the Mail says Chelsea will consider the mammoth bid with Courtois having only one year remaining on his current deal. Chelsea chiefs were apparently looking for £70 million deal for Willian just a few days ago, so £100m for both seems reasonable.
