Chelsea are having a miserable summer transfer window, with the only exception the signing of Jorginho from Napoli – and even that took the masterstroke of new head coach Maurizio Sarri to steal him from Manchester City’s grasp.
The summer has been rather quiet for the Blues who look like they are in for a tough season after failing to go beyond signing Jorginho and Rob Green.
Several players continue to be linked with moves to Chelsea, but very few have arrived and among some of the biggest misses have been Aleksandr Golovin who decided to move to AS Monaco instead of a big Premier League move and also, Allison Becker who decided to join Liverpool instead of replacing Thibaut Courtois.
The latest of the snubs is Brazil star Bernard who was thought to be closest to a Stamford Bridge move this summer as per Metro but that has since changed with Simon Jones of the Daily Mail reporting that the Toffees have overrun the Blues and all that remains is official confirmation of his move.
