It has been revealed by Goal that Chelsea have inserted a permanent option to sell Tiemoue Bakayoko to AC Milan next summer after his season long loan move this summer. The Blues will sell Bakayoko for £35m next summer despite securing him in a £40 million move last summer from AS Monaco.
Bakayoko has not settled well at Chelsea since his big money money last summer and has struggled to live up to expectations in the Blues midfield. Under Antonio Conte, the Frenchman was given numerous chances to prove himself but was visibly unable to exert himself on the Premier League like he did in the French Ligue 1.
He was unable to complete passes nor successfully make ball winning tackles as the Blues succumbed to fifth in the season of their title defense. Unfortunately for Bakayoko, Chelsea then brought in Jorginho this summer to beef up their midfield and Bakayoko failed to take the chances when asked to play alongside the new man, thus Sarri has sanctioned the move to loan him out this season.
Goal now say Milan can sign him, if he impresses for £35m next summer transfer window, with the confirmation of the deal only days away.
