Chelsea surprisingly ready to sell Marcos Alonso to Madrid clubs but only if one condition is met

Chelsea are expected to shut their exit door close in the remaining days of the European transfer window as they cannot sign anymore players as replacements, especially if the suitors want their first team options.

However, according to AS in Spain, Chelsea have put a price on Marcos Alonso after news emerged that both Atletico and Real Madrid are chasing after him this summer. The report says Blues director Marina Granovskaia is ready to sit down with the top chiefs from Madrid to discuss the move but only if they welcome the idea of paying €60 million for the Spain international.

The 27 year old has attracted several clubs in recent times for his performances at Chelsea since signing for Antonio Conte’s side in the summer of 2016. Under Maurizio Sarri, Alonso has continued where he left off, contributing to the goals while putting in a fair share of defensive work as well.

Real want a replacement for Marcelo in the coming seasons while Atletico could see Felipe Luis leave for Paris Saint Germain this summer, and want cover in that position.
