Chelsea are not expected to give Manchester City any trouble as they go in hunt for a second successive Premier League title this season, despite the Blues’ convincing start to the campaign.
Maurizio Sarri has come in to replace Antonio Conte as head coach but has failed to convince pundits that his Chelsea side can go all the way to fight for the title in May 2019. His style has attracted a lot of talk though, and with Chelsea playing some beautiful attacking football this season, it may not be too long before Sarri will begin to change a few minds.
Former Chelsea defender, Ashley Cole will not wait for that time when the country is wowed and pundits begin to call Chelsea favorites or title contenders though. He has began dreaming of what could be at the end of the season already.
Speaking to ESPN, Ashley Cole said he expects his former side from West London to have something to say about where the title goes this season.
“Chelsea have gone about their business a little bit quiet in terms of having a new manager. They should be fighting for the title, but I don’t think people are [thinking that way] at the minute.
To get six points from two games, it’s a fantastic start. They’ve just got to keep going.”
