Equalling Chelsea’s record sets Maurizio Sarri on his way to replicate success of past managers

It took a while for pundits and fans in England to fully appreciate Maurizio Sarri’s system at the club and what he intends to implement, and although not fully realized, Chelsea fans may be on their way to getting an absolute treat from their new manager.

It’s the kind of football that the club’s owner, Roman Abramovich has craved for since he bought the club in 2003, but having shuffled through a variety of top world and European coaches, the Russian oligarch had still not gotten the man he wants. His changes have brought success as it did bring some of the football he wanted.

The likes of Andre Villas Boas and Luis Felipe Scolari attempted to introduce slick passing football at the club but that did not prove as much a hit as expected and soon their backs were seen at Stamford Bridge’s exit.

Only four games into the season, and dare I say that Sarri may be warming Chelsea’s owner up for something delightful at the club.

Already he had equalled the record set by some of the Chelsea’s most successful managers in recent times.

All the manager’s listed in the above tweet by OptaChelsea are highly regarded at the club for their titles won and general success on the pitch, and if Sarri has joined them so early in his career at the club, the best of the coach may be only a distant away. He might not end up like the Villas Boas and Scolaris in the past. Sarri could get Chelsea to actually win, playing fine attractive football.
