“I love them” – Michy Batshuayi makes important decision on Chelsea future

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has declared he is determined to return to Chelsea a ‘better player’ after he completes his loan deal with Valencia.

This summer, the Belgium international was sent out on another loan deal to Valencia, after spending some months with Borussia Dortmund last season. Batshuayi was a budding star in the German Bundesliga before injury curtailed his spell with Dortmund.

He spent his summer with Belgium at the 2018 World Cup and although he was not one of the regulars, he managed one goal at the tournament and showed his ability to find the back of the net when called upon.

Perhaps, with Chelsea’s current strikers, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud finding it difficult to score goals, the 24-year old might be fancying his chances of getting playing time if he impresses this season at the La Liga club.

Batshuayi reveals his love for Chelsea and insists the only thing on his mind is returning to Stamford Bridge, although he has not spoken with any official from London since his Valencia move.

“No [I’m not looking for a permanent move]. I’ve so much respect for Chelsea and I love them. This loan is important for my development, to show how good I am so that I can go back to Chelsea a better player.

I haven’t spoken to them [staff at Chelsea], not at all. That’s something for my agent and Chelsea to take care of — but I’ve not spoken to the club or Sarri.”
