Chelsea’s brilliant forward Eden Hazard has credited his side’s style of play as the reason he has hit top form this season.
Hazard has made a remarkable start to the season and his goals have propelled his side to wins in the Premier League and other competitions. The Blues remain unbeaten this season in the three competitions they’ve played so far and their positive form can be attributed to Hazard’s impeccable reincarnation.
The former Lille star has scored seven times in eight games this season including the masterclass hattrick against Cardiff City. His blazing solo goal against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup has got the nation talking about how he is closing the gap between him and the Lionel Messi-Cristiano Ronaldo duopoly at the top of world football player rankings.
Hazard scored the opener against Southampton with a well-taken shot before setting up Alvaro Morata for Chelsea’s third. He points to Chelsea’s new attacking philosophy as the reason he is hitting new heights.
“We are enjoying playing well and scoring goals. The first half was not so easy, they missed big chances and then we have had a bit of luck for our first goal, but we controlled the match in the second half.
I don’t know if I’ve played better [than I am at the minute], I’m just playing good football because we are playing good football. I want to keep doing it and keep everyone happy.”
