“He’s capable of magic at any moment” – Ross Barkley identifies the player Chelsea cannot afford to sell

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has created some mayhem during this international break that will possibly continue until he signs a new deal or a confirmed deal with Real Madrid is reported after his admission that he still ‘dreams’ of playing for Los Blancos. His teammates, however, will not wait for bad news as they rally the club to tie him down.

Ross Barkley may be one of the first to come out and you can bet he will not be the last. The England international has called on his club to intensify talks with their talismanic forward to renew his current deal that expires in two years.

Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Barkley admits he is hoping to play with Hazard a few more years and would hope the club gets him committed.

“He’s a magnificent player. You can see how he has started the season and the World Cup that he had, you don’t get many players like him. He’s capable of magic at any moment.

It’s important [he stays] because he’s been at Chelsea for a long time. He’s achieved so much. But I can’t speak for Eden.”

Ross Barkley, Four Four Two

The Belgium international has been the Blues best player this season, creating and scoring goals for fun in the early stages but the news about his possible departure will not go away. Especially after the 27-year old admitted that he still retains dreams of playing for Real Madrid.
