Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley is adjusting to life in the big time and although he’s played a few years in the Premier League with Everton, signing for the Blues means a few things will need to change in his life – and the adjustments have already begun.
The former Toffees player has been seen without tattoos for the last few months and when asked, Barkley admits his new found maturity got him to begin clearing up the mistakes of his past.
The 24-year old reveals he got his first tattoos on his legs at 14 years. Today he looks back at the decision and calls it ‘stupid’ while revealing his regret. However, he says he will not ‘rule out’ getting fresh tattoos at a later age when he begins settling into life as a father.
“I got them at a young age and sometimes when you are young you do stupid things and not think about it. But I went into it too quick and over the years I felt I wanted to get them removed, so I went through the process in the last couple of years.
My first tattoo was when I was 14. I was a bit young, like. I was a big lad so they didn’t question my age at the time. Started getting them removed a couple of years ago. I would never rule out getting another, maybe when I have kids I might have something done to go with that.”

The tattoos were previously seen on his left arm when he played football as a first-team regular at Goodison Park.
