Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas has been offered an escape route out of Stamford Bridge by Galatasaray according to Turkish media outlet Sozcu.
The report says the Turkish giants are interested in offering Fabregas a way out of Maurizio Sarri’s squad after failing to get the required minutes this season. Competition has been rife at the club with Jorginho arriving to take up the deep-lying midfield role most suitable to Fabregas.
Other positions up-field in the Blues midfield are occupied by the ever-enterprising N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic who have been favored by the Italian tactician. Even Ross Barkley has more minutes this season under his belt than Fabregas.
Despite the 31-year old repeatedly insisting he wants to remain a Blue in the years to come, Sozcu says Galatasaray are hoping to tempt him away with the promise of regular playing time in the Turkish league.
Fabregas currently deputizes Jorginho and Chelsea will know better than allow the Spain international, still one of the best passers of the ball in the Premier League, to leave the club.
