Chelsea fans proved they do not forget their legends so easily after giving Frank Lampard a frenzied welcome to Stamford Bridge, only three years after he left the club for New York City FC.
The former England international returned to the Bridge with his first club as manager, Derby County, for the round of 16 fixture in the Carabao Cup. Lampard oversaw a 3-2 defeat in the competition to his former side but remained on the grounds after the game to appreciate the support he had from the Chelsea fans.
