Unlikely Premier League star emerges as favorite to replace Alvaro Morata at Chelsea

Chelsea’s striker woes may have been eased in recent weeks after Alvaro Morata scored four goals in the last four games and further put clear daylight between he and Olivier Giroud in the race to be the Blues number one.

However, it seems the Blues top hierarchy are still not convinced and would like to add to their options or make changes in the coming months. The Daily Mirror suggests Chelsea have increased the number of scouts on Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson following his impressive start to the season.

The 26-year old is reported by the Daily Mail to be on the radar of the Blues who now want to sign him in January. He has scored seven goals in the Premier League this season and his further four assists are big reasons why Bournemouth are flying so high in the top flight.

He recently signed a new deal at Bournemouth that ties him with the club until 2022.
