Chelsea will be plunged into battle again for Ruben Loftus-Cheek in January, with clubs in the Premier League and the German Bundesliga lining up to make fresh bids for the player.
The Blues had to work hard to keep the midfielder on their books last summer, but after the first couple of months saw him fail to break into the first team, the rumor mill was filled again with stories that he would jump ship in January. However, consecutive appearances in the last couple of months in Maurizio Sarri’s side makes for a very interesting window in January.
He may be swayed by the promises of constant first team football the suitors will present to him but his progress under Sarri could also convince him to stay at Chelsea and make a point.
According to the Mirror, those suitors are Crystal Palace and Schalke 04. It remains to be seen what his preferences and priorities will be at this stage of his career, but the fact these clubs linger, Roman Abramovich’s side will remain in danger of losing their prized asset.
