An injury crisis and loss of form by AC Milan’s central defenders have pushed the club to consider making moves for Chelsea defender Gary Cahill, but another option on their wish list is Andreas Christensen, as per Calciomercato.
The report by the Italian news portal says Milan’s chiefs are monitoring the situation of Christensen at Chelsea. The Danish international is yet to fully convince Maurizio Sarri of his ability with the Italian manager preferring Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz in the middle of his four-man back line.
Christensen would hope for more playing time in the coming months, but with the competition rife in the department at Stamford Bridge, a move away has never been absent from his mind. AC Milan will also represent a good step if he leaves Chelsea.
Milan are looking to beef up their squad with Zlatan Ibrahimovic reportedly on their radar, as well as one of Cahill or Christensen.
