Chelsea have received a huge boost in their chase of Juventus defender Daniele Rugani after his father posted his son’s frustration on Facebook.
The central defender has been an integral part of Maurizio Sarri’s transfer plans since his arrival at Stamford Bridge last summer. It is thought in Italy that the former Napoli tactician always rated Rugani very highly in his time in the Serie A and wants a reunion.
His center back partnership of David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger is not perceived as strong enough and with Andreas Christensen and Gary Cahill threatening to leave in January if they do not get the expected minutes on the pitch this season, Sarri would almost certainly be in search of a new defender in the winter transfer window.
Helping Sarri’s cause to find a replacement is the Facebook post of Rugani’s father. Ubaldo Rugani expressed the frustrations his family are going through as Daniele fails to play often for Juve this campaign.
“There’s no need to say anything. This face tells you everything, but soon this story will end. And then we’ll take back everything we deserve, with interest. Vamos DR24, for all my life the best Italian defender.”

Rugani is yet to add to his three games under Massimiliano Allegri in the ongoing campaign.
